the personality It's hard to say with Eliceyn where the mask ends, and her real personality shows. Possessing many faces, many appearances, many aliases, she has a personality for each. No matter where she goes, she wears a metaphorical mask, one which she almost never seems to let go. Few know the woman underneath the act, revealing her true self to only those who have her complete faith and trust.
One thing for certain about her is she has one simple goal in mind: survival. Everything she does, in her eyes, is to serve as a means of her surviving to see the next day, with clothes on her back, food on her plate, and a roof over her head.Beneath the mask and motives, however, few swear that there is a good heart beneath it all. Though many others would also claim this "goodness" about her is a mere front for something far more sinister. A unique concoction made by her own hand, Ellie is hardly seen without a few bottles of a strange, ethereal like potion on her person. Usually hanging from her belt, or hiding in her enchanted bag, she can often be seen sipping from one of these mysterious glass bottles, often draining them dry whenever she does consume it's contents.Anyone who is highly attuned to aether can sense it from the bottle, though the smell coming from it was once described as metallic, sometimes sickly sweet or malodorous, the color almost always a deep crimson color."It smells foul, how in the hells does she consume this WILLINGLY?"

While not necessary to use her magic, the grimoire Ellie carries with her acts as a focus for her magic, not only enhancing her abilities, but making her powers easier to control. The tome is normally hidden from sight, often being conjured out of thin air when needed.Strange occurances have happened with this tome before however, as some claimed to have heard strange noises coming from it before when left unattended. Some say flames retract from it when held against fire, and even water has not been able to soak its pages."Did that book just talk...?"
Bishop
An odd creature born from ellie's aether, it acts to her what a carbuncle would to an arcanist, or a faerie to a scholar. What makes him stand out, however, is the third golden eye that rests on the crown of his head, the third eye often closed. When it opens, it often puts those who peer into it into a sense of panic and brings a strong feeling of dread and doom.He may be a creature made from her aether, but she regards him like he is a living being, showing him as much respect as she does her other pets.WRITERS NOTE: due to the limitations of the game, the hunting hawk minion in-character resembles a crow with three golden eyes."go, my friend. watch them well..."

the history.
There is scarcely any records of Eliceyn Birch in any city. All research points her to being a simple merchant from Doma who deals in overseas trade, and is hardly ever seen in one place for too long.Though if one asks around the red lantern districts of Kugane, her name either elicits great respect and admiration, or absolute fear and worry. To this day, rumors circulate around her, calling her "The Bloody Bawd". Suspected to have carried out dozens of murders in her former establishment, 'The Midnight Realm', a brothel she ran almost a decade prior. Some claim these murders were justified, often the targets were powerful men and women with histories of abuse, and even hands in "unwillingly trading flesh", as she puts it.
Currently all she is known for is being an adept business woman, but those who know her truly understand the -real- work done behind the scenes.

Kugane Red Lantern District Despite no longer having a business in the infamous district, she still has a myriad of friends and colleagues who not only reside in it, but work within its walls. She is frequently seen at a strange medicine shop, cavorting with an elezen gentleman. The Harlequin An 'underground' fight club venue located hidden in the nook of The Lavender Beds, Ellie moonlights there as a bartender. There she can be seen serving drinks, watching the fights, and occasionally sniping biting remarks with one (or more) of her co-workers. Sharlayan & The Studium With her mother being a researcher in Sharlayan, Ellie is seen frequently in the city. Though usually there to simply visit and do a wellness check on her mother and her son, she also partakes in the local shops. More often than not, one can spy her consorting with business associates at the local cafe, or even working alongside her mother's fellow researchers as their test subject, but few know why save for the forum and select associates.

- Want to ship with Ellie? Ellie as a character is polyamorous; she engages in relationships with multiple people, and allows the same with her partners, so long as she (and I) are aware of the nature of the relationship, as well as all parties involved.

Elwyn Graves
Ellie's cousin and one of her 'students'. The pair aren't extremely close, but Ellie remains protective of him regardless. Trained to hunt and kill voidsent, Ellie trains him how to properly defend himself against his enemy, by giving him one to fight.
